a solid introduction to the planning and design phases for building
a website. This website design class covers all aspects of the
overall design process, with a heavy emphasis on the planning,
layout, and design phases.
Students will learn how to plan and organize an attractive
website using basic design principles and software using like
Photoshop, Dream weaver, Flash and Front Page etc., and development
methodology. After completing the course, students will understand
the process of developing a website, from gathering the information,
determining site goals and features, planning and laying out
pages for design and usability, and making web pages accessible
to all users.
Basic design concepts, web page layout and storyboarding
will be covered along with interface, site maintenance, and
navigation issues. Students will leave this class with a design
questionnaire and web development methodology which can be
applied to any website no matter the size. Through this class
students will understand the basics of design, color, and
typography for the web.
Image creation, formatting, and compression will also be
